This option can be changed through the BIOS, read about it in the next section of the article. Note that this refers to the entire row F and that to press, for example, F9 in some game or program in the future you will have to press Fn + F9, otherwise you will only turn on / off the backlight, but the program will not count it as pressing F9. To avoid having to press the key Fn To turn on the backlight and use the other functions in row F that are drawn on each of the keys, you can change its value from functional to multimedia.
You will most likely have to press it together with Fn. If none of these combinations work for you, examine the keyboard for a special icon with the letter A on the other keys (you can see its icon in all the photos above it is the same for Acer notebooks with a backlit keyboard). In the example below, you can see that it can be a Latin letter U, requiring, of course, the simultaneous pressing of the key Fn. In some compact notebooks, there is also a non-standard option.
